“My Mouth was a Wreck!”

I am a new patient from Canada. My mouth was full of metal fillings, many teeth were cracked and I hated dentists. Dr. Rubino and his staff have changed everything and given me a brilliant smile. All the comments below are very true. I drive over an hour for each appointment, but will never consider switching. I am confident that my oral health will continue to be the best it can possibly be with the help of every member of the Rubino Team.

My entire family has been with Dr. Rubino for over 25 years. Even though most of us live father away now and have many other options, we travel to stay with the pro's at Dr. Rubino's office. Every employee is a gem - personable, professional, efficient, comforting. Dr. Rubino has always invested in the latest technology and I feel comfortable knowing that I receive the best treatment available.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rubino's since the early 1990s and have never once considered going to another dentist. Dr. Rubino and his staff have consistently provided me with the best dental care available, not to mention that the facility itself is state of the art and has the latest/best equipment. I have been going to Dr. Rubino for a number of years and I am always impressed by not only the sevices I receive, but also by the whole staffs efforts to provide preventive suggestions and, when needed, products to address my needs. He can also show you how your dental health relates to good overall health. His look at "long term" dental health has resulted in my still having all my teeth and being in good health even though I am a senior citizen. I strongly recommend him and all the staff in his practice.

Welcome to our practice! We take pride in providing our patients with the best dentistry possible in our state of the art facility. We are focused on making each patient visit as comfortable and productive as possible. Our team is attentive to each patient's needs: we customize our services and try to give you what you expect and deserve. We are committed to continuing professional education and helping our family of patients learn as much as possible about their oral health. Finally, prevention is the most important service we provide and we spend as much time as necessary to give you a daily home care routine that works!

Meet the Staff

• Ross E. Rubino, DDS, FAGD: Dr. Rubino is a lifelong resident of Park Ridge. He attended Mary Seat of Wisdom, Main South (1968), Michigan State University (1972) and UIC College of Dentistry (UICCOD-1977). He has been practicing in Park Ridge since 1978, is married to Terri, one of our hygienists, and has five children. Dr. Rubino is a member of many professional organizations, achieving “Fellowship” status in the “Academy of General Dentistry” in July 2000, which required 500 total hours of continuing education and successful completion of a rigorous 6 hour test in all areas of dentistry. He is a mentor for dental students participating in the CDS/UIC Mentorship Program, which gives dental students a “big brother” in dentistry. He was appointed to the UIC Dental Alumni Board in 2008 and is currently Secretary/Treasurer. He will be president in 2013, the 100th anniversary of the UICCOD. Dr. Rubino was also a dental officer for Holland America Cruise Lines, continues to travel, and is active in the community, especially enjoying his younger daughters’ softball teams.
• Terri Rubino, RDH: Terri was born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. She attended Ferris State University, graduating in 1981 and has been working in our practice since February, 1983. She is a highly skilled hygienist/gum therapist and is also our general office manager. Terri is very much a “people” person and particularly enjoys the numerous patients whom she has been seeing for many years who are now friends! Terri is also very active in the community. She has been the organizer of the Dental Health Fair and was one of the producers of the V-show at the Roosevelt grade school for 5 years. She is an avid softball fan. Terri loves to travel and also worked on Holland America cruises.
• Tina Pitsios, RDH: Tina is from Skokie and worked as one of our dental assistants for four years before attending Southern Illinois University for her hygiene degree. She is the seventh team member to become a hygienist, which we are very proud of. She returned to our practice in 2009 with the advantage of knowing our practice philosophy and many of our patients. We are very excited to have Tina back!
• Kathy Nelson: Kathy joined our team in January 2005. She has 14 years of dental assisting experience including two working in a pediatric dental practice. Kathy is an advanced dental assistant who works closely with Dr. Rubino evaluating materials and techniques. She is also responsible for coordinating our assisting staff. She is from Des Plaines and went to Marine West High School. Kathy speaks fluent Polish.
• Sara Galiano: Sara became a member of our team in August 2006. She is a Hygiene and Business Assistant, and has responsibilities in overall infection control and patient financial issues. Sara is from Harwood Heights and has a background in customer service and sales.
• Pat Rubino: Pat joined our staff in April of 2008 after completing a dental assisting program. She has a background in marketing and decided to switch to health care. She wears multiple “hats” as Hygiene, Doctor and Business assistant. She is responsible for inventory control and is our practice promotion coordinator, with a great deal of involvement in the community. Pat is married to Dr. Rubino’s brother, Joe, and has three children.
