“You've improved the quality of my life”

Dear Dr. Burstein, You've improved the quality of my life. My mother lost her teeth in her early 30's. I believe with your help, I'll keep mine into my 90's! When I was a kid, they tried to calm me, gas me, everything you can think of to get me to sit. You do a crown and I don't feel a thing. You are my favorite dentist. You take away my fear and help me be a part of the solution. I clean...you clean. I show up for the appointment and you do the rest. You listen to me when I try and explain an ache or pain. When a very old root canal began hurting, I explained what I was experiencing and you knew exactly what was going on. I'm old school and only believe in fixing something that is broken. You had me try the whitening and when I did, I felt better about my smile. You work with me and my insurance plan insuring maximum care at minimum pricing so that I can have all my work done under insurance guidelines and maximize my dental care. Teeth and gums are so important to my overall health and with my not-so-perfect family history, I am thankful for all you do to keep me healthy. You're my dentist, but you treat me as a whole patient. “I Love My New Smile!”

The ever-widening gap between my two front teeth bothered me, but apparently not as much as it bothered everyone else. My sister-in-law, who is a cosmetic dentist in Cincinnati, commented on it every time she saw me, and offered on numerous occasions to fix it for me. Several months before our son's wedding, my husband said: "Are you going to do your teeth before the wedding?" I knew then it was time. I ruled out going to Cincinnati or even to a specialist in Manhattan because I was concerned about the follow-up. I put my faith in my own dentist, Dr. Michael Burstein, because I trust him implicitly and knew I could count on him should issues arise in the future. Dr. Burstein did an amazing job. I'm so happy with my new smile, and I can now smile widely and frequently. What I like best is that the compliments I get are not specific to the teeth because Dr. Burstein made them look so natural. Most of all, Dr. Burstein's professionalism and accessibility are very reassuring. and his staff is also friendly and caring. I love my new smile, and only wish I had done it sooner! “I couldn't be happier!”

Dear Dr. Burstein, I just wanted to write you an email to thank you for everything. When you sent me to the oral surgeon and was told that I was going to have to have one of my front teeth extracted, I was devastated. The surgeon got in touch with you and you told him that I should go back to your office after the extraction. I want to thank you for having the forethought to make me a temporary. The temporary was not only comfortable and realistic looking but was in my mouth in less then a half an hour after having my tooth pulled. After a month of healing, I now have the most beautiful bridge in the front of my mouth. At first, I was very worried about grinding down healthy teeth and having a 4 tooth bridge in the front of my mouth. Now that it's done, I couldn't be happier! It looks GREAT! I want to thank you and your staff for being so kind and accomodating. I have never waited more then 10 minutes to be seen, and when I have an emergency and need to be seen, I am in the chair that very same day. I have dealt with a lot of dentists in my lifetime... my first root canal was over 20 years ago, and I am so grateful to have finally found a dentist that I totally and completely trust. Meet the Staff

• DEBRA S. Hygienist
  Debra, a registered dental hygienist with a degree from New York University, is the coordinator of our Soft Tissue Management Program. We have seen dramatic improvement through her non-surgical treatment of patients with periodontal disease.
  Debra has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years and is constantly updating her clinical skills with continuing education courses. She is happily married to Ray, and enjoys spending time with her niece, nephews and great nephews. She loves to read, travel, and enjoys meeting new and interesting people.
• MARY Office Manager
  Mary comes to us with a wealth of experience in managing some of the leading practices on Long Island. She is well versed in insurance processing and patient financing. She is committed to maximizing patients' benefits and making all aspects of dental treatment as comfortable as possible.
  Mary has two grown sons and lives with her husband , Bob, in Coram. She is actively involved in civic affairs and is an avid baker and cook.
• MEGAN Clinical Assistant
  You may have seen Megan in some of the leading bakeries on Long Island which she has managed. That may explain all the sweetness about her. She has also assisted in some prestigious general and specialty dental practices. She takes pride in her work and is dedicated to patient comfort and excellence.
