Dr. Miller has drawn together an extraordinary staff of professional dental caregivers who share his commitment to providing high quality care in a comfortable human environment. Dr. Miller prides himself in combing technical excellence and human service to deliver the highest quality restorations in a supportive and warm setting. We know that our patients need and deserve thorough, straight forward and clear communication about their dental needs and financial options and make this service a priority. Dr. Miller has 25 years of experience in the design and delivery of smile makeovers and has taken care to select laboratory technicians and materials that will provide for the predictable delivery of beautiful and natural aesthetic outcomes. Dr.Miller understands the financial realities which face his patients and is happy to consider those compromises which may be necessary to make quality dental services possible. We pride ourselves on respecting our patients' schedules and make every effort to seat our patients on time. We are located in Walnut Creek outside the congestion of downtown immediately off of Highway 24 near the intersection of Highway 24 and 680. You will find parking readily available.

Meet the Staff

• Kay Carzoli - As your enter our office, Kay will likely be one of the first to greet you. She is our scheduling coordinator and receptionist and is skilled in insurance as well as operative dentistry. Kay was a faculty member at Western Career College prior to joining us and has worked in our office for 7 years. Kay is the mother of 3 sons and she and her husband, Steve, enjoy participation in their Children's numerous academic and athletic events.
• Geneal Volpe - A long-time employee, well-loved by patients and staff alike, Geneal is experienced in all facets of the dental practice. Her primary current role is assisting out patients with their insurance questions and insurance processing needs. She is the mother of a Division 1 soccer star, Karin, and will be found, when not in the office, roving the side lines of college and high school athletic events whenever any of her three children are participating.
• Gillian McBreen - Perhaps our most famous staff member - the Brit - who has entertained our local community with her choral singing and narration for many years. Though now semi-retired through popular demand Gillian returns for part-time reception work, to the great delight of Dr. Miller, our staff and her many patient-fans. Gillian was Dr. Miller's first reception employee when he began in 1983.
• Cindy Christensen - About to celebrate with a most grateful doctor, staff, and loyal patient following 15 years in our practice. Cindy is lead hygienist. When not teasing Dr. Miller, Cindy packs a lot into her life as a wife to Keith, mother of two, and intrepid Girl Scout troop leader. Cindy's hygiene and diagnostic skills are extraordinary, as are many of her life skills. Comfort is her highest goal with her patients, but - beware - she will try to sell you girl scout cookies!
• Candace Joe - Our other long time hygienist, whose professionalism and concern for her patients' well being extends far beyond teeth and gums. Candace is an active church counselor and is an example, along with her husband, Gary, of someone for whom human service is more than a quaint phrase. You will find Candace genuinely concerned that patients receive the highest level of hygiene services in the most comfortable manner possible.
• Michelle Pruett - Michelle is "the rock" of our chair side assisting team, having been with Dr. Miller for 14 years. She is one of the big reasons the doctor and out staff want to come to work and our patients want to come back to see us. Michelle has not only superb assisting skills, but enormous heart quality. She enjoys volunteering time with her children's teen church group and was amused, along with the rest of us, to find herself a team volleyball coach without a thread of volleyball knowledge or experience. We all love her.
• Rose Aguilar - Our most youthful staff member and an extraordinary human being. Rose enjoys a wealth of experience. not only in dentistry as a dedicated dental assistant but also in life. Rose has been with us now for four years and never stops wanting to learn, grow and contribute more in our office and beyond. She has served her community as the youngest member of the Linus Project and has crafted numerous beautiful, love-stitched blankets for the needy through the organization. Rose speaks Spanish and English and is interested in literature, philosophy, writing and graphic arts. She finds every patient interesting and worthy of her most skilled and attentive care. Rose has made her home a haven for rescue laboratory dogs and is threatening to adopt beagle #4 soon. Can you stop her?
• Loel Miller - Dr. Miller met Loel when she had just turned 13 and he had just turned 14. They were best friends throughout adolescence and were married 7 years later as undergraduate students at UC Berkeley. Loel joined the team as Treatment Coordinator in 1991 once their two boys were safely ensconced in school. When not attending to emergency room accidents from football or wrestling or shuttling students to State Honors Band concerts, her mission has been to serve staff and patients by coordinating schedules, presenting treatment plans and helping to make financial arrangements for our patients. Beyond the care of her patients, staff, and family, Loel has recently found especially thrilling participation in the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County. An amateur cellist and long time choral member, Loel has additionally performed in many Bay Area events with her husband.
