Celebrate your skin! Advanced Laser and Skin Care Center, the office of Michael J. Tomcik, MD, Board Certified Dermatologist, Celebrates the grand opening of our expanded high-tech eco-green facility. Welcome to a beautiful environment for beautiful skin. Our practice has provided the most advanced cosmetic and medical dermatology treatments since 1977. We have just completed an expansion that triples our capacity to provide the latest high-tech skin care with old fashioned quality services. Our goal was to create a spacious and comfortable environment where men, women and children can find treatments and solutions that will enhance their skin health and well-being. We welcome everyone to come and visit out treatment facility and learn more about our services and our philosophy of helping people find the best customized treatments for their skin. This modern facility and staff is the culminations of the vision of Michael J. Tomcik, MD and his wife, Connie Tomcik, RN. Their dream was to provide the community with high quality service based on the most advanced science and technology. Dr. Tomcik has been practicing dermatology since 1974. His interest and expertise in laser technology began with building a laser for holographic photography in 1975. His expansion into cosmetic dermatology began in 1981 as one of the first physicians trained in the use of of collagen fillers to provide subtle softening wrinkles and skin depressions. Consequently he has performed over 30,000 filler procedures including all the latest FDA approved materials. In 1992 because of his position as an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center, he was able to be the first Northern California physician in private practice to offer laser hair reduction. Also added was the first of over 2,000 procedures for skin smoothing, pigment reduction and skin tightening with C02 Laser, still considered the gold standard and best laser for these purposes. At this same time Botox Cosmetic was introduced into the practice. Dr. Tomcik has personally performed over 17,000 Botox procedures. In 1996 the science and art of body sculpting was added with tumescent liposuction - a safe, comfortable, in-office procedure without danger of general anesthesia. Over the years all of this technical experience, combined with his artistic eye and caring compassion, has provided outstanding dermatologic care for his patients. With our facility expansion we have also added to our staff. We carefully recruited professionals strong in knowledge and their concern for others, and eager to continue learning in their area of specialization. We pride ourselves on choosing the safest and most efficacious treatments available, based on sound scientific research in both cosmetic and medical dermatology. Both doctors believe that the better informed a patient is about the possibilities and the procedures, the better they will heal. Our entire staff makes every effort to see the patients are well informed, personally cared for and properly treated. Our goal is to provide comprehensive evaluation of treatment for our patients' medical and cosmetic needs. We accomplish this by first listening to each patient's concerns, taking a complete history and thorough examination of the skin. We then provide possible solutions based on state-of-art technology with a personalized prescription for products and procedures that promote the patients' optimal health.

This is one of the primary principles of our practice, to help people care for themselves and enjoy good health.

This is the formula for 'happy medicine' which prepares and educates clients in advance, provides the best procedures and care and continues with on-going consultations and evaluations.
• Cosmetic services:
• Micro-Fractional C02 Laser Resurfing. Makes the skin 3-10 years younger, smoothes, tightens, rejuvenates, lifts, decreases sun damage pigment, acne and trauma scars, as well as pre-cancerous lesions of the face, neck, chest, hands and arms. One treatment outpreforms 5 or more treatments of every other non-C02 laser. This procedure can be combined with a customized skin care program using physician strength products and other lasers for even better results. Minimal discomfort and quick return to public eye in 4-7 days.
• Foto Facial (IPL) Treatments - reduces redness, rosacea, flushing, freckles, age spots, sun damage and other skin pigmentation conditions on face, neck, chest and hands.
• 532 Green Light Laser - dramatically reduces bright red blood vessels on the face, neck, chest and hands.
• Collagen Boosting Laser - a painless, no downtime treatment used in combination with Mirco-Fractional C02 Laser, to increase collagen production and tighten your skin up to 60%. It can also be used to reduce acne breakouts.
• Laser Hair Removal - uses a long pulse Ng/Yag Laser for permanent hair reduction with ALL skin colors and ALL hair types.
• Botox/Dysport - in our office treatment with these medicines is preformed only by a Board Certified Dermatologist. They are used to relax vertical and horizontal lines on the forehead, crow's feet at corner of the eyes, and elevate the corners of the mouth and decrease deep lines around the lips. Can also be used to decreases excessive sweating.
• Fillers - (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Sculptra) in our office are preformed only by a Board Certified Dermatologist to restore volume into areas of aging skin such as the valley from nose to lips, marionette puppet lines mouth to chin, the sunken valley under the eyes, natural lip and cheek enhancement and to raise depressed scars. They are also used in hand rejuvenation and earlobe creases. Our philosophy is to provide a natural looking, not overdone look, often combining multiple fillers to achieve optimal cosmetic results. Our decades of experience help to minimize pain and bruising.
• Tumescent Liposuction with Vaser - Safe in office with no general anesthesia using minimal 3mm incisions allowing 98% of our patients to return to work in 3 days. It permanently removes fat under chin, neck, arms, male breasts, abdomen, waist, hips, love-handles, saddle-bags, inner thighs and inner knees.
• Cosmeceuticals - skin care formulations that are available exclusively from physicians. They revitalize the skin, diminish the appearance of fine soft lines, soften dry, maturing skin and improve problem-prone complexions. We focus on the products, which are most effective, least irritating and have the lowest cost. Our newest product is Latisse to grow longer, thicker, darker eyelashes.
• Chemical Peels - are performed by well trained and compassionate estheticians and include acne facials and extractions, and chemical products which are prescription strength and can only be done under the direct supervision of a physician. They stimulate the production of collagen to reduce fine lines and condition the skin. These peels are more effective than salon or home care products.
• Microdermabrasion - an exfoliating treatment for fine lines and pigment issues to improve tone and texture of the skin and encourage collagen production. Our system eliminates the outdated messy, sand crystal peel and has more options of treatment ranging from fine to course and can be used on delicate skin around the eyes.
• Medical Services - Medical Dermatology for all diseases of the skin, hair and nails from pediatric to geriatrics.
