Office Tour

We are a father-son orthodontic practice committed to providing the highest quality orthodontic care with a personal touch. Our practice treats both children and adults of all ages. We take the time to understand your needs and concerns and will provide personalized treatment to help you achieve your goals. It is important to us that you feel confident and well-informed about the care that you or your child are receiving at each phase of treatment. We make it a point to have one of the doctors see you for every adjustment, and to take the time to answer any and all questions you might have. Our staff of highly trained and compassionate individuals will do their best to make you feel comfortable and part of the office family. We look forward to meeting you!

Meet the Staff

• Len and his wife, Judy, have been married for over 36 years. They have three children, Scott, Kristi, and Laurie. Len and Judy enjoy supporting the Cal football, basketball, and spirit squads. Len serves as the photographer for Cal Spirit. Len also manages a trophy-quality koi pond in his backyard and a garden scale railroad. Lately, their favorite hobby is spoiling the family's first grandchildren, Jocelyn and Talia
• Christine Gutierrez, Accounts Manager (4 years w/ our office): Chris has over twenty years of experience working with patients and managing accounts. She handles all the billing and ensures that everything runs smoothly in our business office. She is married and has a son, Jake, (a former patient) who is now serving in the army. Chris also spends time gardening, home improving, and likes to travel. She has a kitty named Katie and two new puppies named Kimo and Kailee.
• Paula Ortman, Treatment Coordinator (2 years w/ our office): Paula is usually the first person you meet when contacting our office. She has over 15 years of experience taking care of patients. Paula has three grown children, Nicholas, Tracy, and Daniel. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. She has two dogs, Gus, a toy poodle, and Koda, a cockapoo.
• Becky Langdon, Registered Dental Assistant (20 years): Becky has been with the office for over 17 years and was a patient here before joining the staff. She and her husband have two children, Jacob and Kaelyn. Becky enjoys playing with her kids, relaxing with family and friends, reading, walking, watching movies, and taking trips to the ocean to watch the waves roll in.
• Maria Betancourt, Registered Dental Assistant (4 years): Maria is also a former patient. She and her husband have two boys, Alex and Oscar. In her spare time, Maria enjoys pilates, scrap-booking, and karaoke with her sisters. Maria does presentations at local schools promoting the benefits of good dental habits. Fluent in Spanish
• Trina Rodriguez, Registered Dental Assistant (4 years): Trina and her husband have two young boys, Michael and Nicholas. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, taking her boys to the park, doing home-remodeling projects, and taking drives up the coastline.
• Lisa Barnett, Registered Dental Assistant (3 years): Lisa and her husband have two daughters, Alyssa and Michelle. They enjoy camping, barbecuing, and taking the train to Northern California. Lisa also loves to entertain family and friends at her home.

Community Involvement

• Our office sponsors several local events (Easter Egg hunt, Halloween festival), and sports teams
• We conducted a holiday food/toy drive to assist Hope for the Heart after their warehouse burned down
• Staff members provide dental education seminars to local schools
• Dr. Scott Chong volunteers for Give Kids A Smile (free dental screenings), serves as a committee chairman for the local dental society and has been a guest lecturer to the pediatricians at Palo Alto Medical Foundation
