Office Tour

Our office is more like a family of close-knit individuals who strive to improve the lives of our patients. Even the patients themselves become family and make the office the place that it is. Many times our own patients with severe diseases of the eye end up counseling the next patient. The people working in the office are astounding human beings that make every work day an enjoyable and delightful experience. Thanks to the people who commit their hours to this office and the patients that always seem to return, the office is like a second home with a life of its own.

Services Offered

  • Lasik, PRK, Wavefront or Custom Ablation, Femotoseconds Flap Laser (No Blade Full Lasik), both Small Spot and Large Beam Laser for Lasik.
  • ICL or Permant Intraocular Contact Lense which is actually a Collymar unlike contact lenses that the body tolerates much better, this procedure is for people with thin Corneas and people whose Corneal power drops below 36.50 with Lasik.
  • Corneal power below 36.50 results in night blindness that gets worse as the power of cornea decreases. A 35.00 dioter power reduces night contrast sensitivity about 20%. A less than 30.00 power reduces it almost 100%. I personally recommend keeping the corneal power to more than 39.00 which is about the lowest someone naturally may have.
  • Intac rings for keratoconus to prevent progression of the disease and prevent or delay corneal transplantation.
  • relaxing incisions for astigmatism with diamond tip.
  • Blepharoplasty uppper and lower. Patient should know that doing upper and lower together increases risks of bleeding behind the eye and loss of vision. We usually do upper and lower together. Usually 1 month apart if needed.
  • corneal transplantation for variety of disease, scars and keratoconus.
  • Crossed Eye surgery (Strabismus) for children and Adults with Crossed Eyes.

Technology

  • New Surgical Modalities: Wavefront Lasik. No blade Lasik with Femtosecond Laser technology. ICL and Corneal Intact Rings. Diagnostic: Corneal Topography map, great information on shape of the cornea. Ocular CT: (OCT) that will show diseases of the central retina and optic nerve. OCT of optic nerve can diagnose glaucoma or brain tumors or pressure sometime before there are any other signs or symptoms. We diagnose several patients with Pseudotumor Cerebri and usually one brain tumor per year with OCT.
