Meet the Staff

• Michaela Crowther-Chaisson - Administrative Manager, for 10 years. Michaela is the first point of contact for our practice and is a key part of our team for scheduling and finances. Michaela comes from a strong banking business background. She is originally from South Africa and speaks Afrikaans. Michaela loves cooking, shopping and spending time with her niece and nephew.
• Susan Zimmerman-Gillis - Registered Dental Hygienist, for 9 years. Having been in the profession for over twenty years, Susan excels in treating the apprehensive patient and is gentle and thorough in her approach. Originally from Texas, she puts patients at ease with her genuine smile. Susan lives on the Coastside and enjoys hiking and volunteering to keep the coast clean.
• Alexis Atchinson - DDS, Dental Hygienist, for 4 years. Having been in private practice for twenty years, Alexis brings a wealth of experience and training to her position. She is devoted to patient education and is a great motivator and coach for her patients. She is a native of the bay area and is an avid dog lover and runner.
• Melissa Malpede - RDAEF and Patient Care Administrator, for 11 years. With over 20 years of experience in dentistry, Melissa is able to deliver care with a level of exceptional professionalism. She is skilled and knowledgeable and is able to support patients through all phases of treatment. Melissa is a homemaker, mother of two and native to the bay area.
• Breann Oxford - RDA, Dental Assistant, for 3 years. Breann brings a special awareness and caring attitude to her position of dental assisting. Breann is also a student working toward her bachelor degree. Breann is trained in sign language for the hearing impaired. She is a native to the bay area and enjoys water skiing, hiking and swimming.

• Sonrisas Community Dental Center - Volunteer and Board Member. Sonrisas Board of Directors: 2003-Present, 2006-2008 Treasurer, 2008-Present President.
