“No braces”

My teeth used to be extremely crooked until Dr. Shieh introduced me to the Myobrace, which is a teeth-straightening mouth guard you wear at night. I have always dreaded the day I had to get braces because I've heard of how painful it is just to get them on. My friend received braces about the same time I had my mouth guard. Now my teeth are straighter than his. I have not experienced any pain or cuts, and I can still eat whatever I want. Go see Dr. Shieh, and your smile will be brighter :)

I had terrible crooked teeth when I first met Dr. Shieh but now they are straight thanks to him and his experience in the dental office. I have to admit but Dr. Shieh has been the most friendly and most patient doctor out of all the ones I've been to. He made me feel comfortable since the first day I stepped into his office and he will do this with anyone. He is very skilled and studies your problem to see what is really causing it and why in which he later explains with every detail to the patient dealing with the problem. In addition any dental question you might have he will always have an answer for it. I couldn't ask for a better dentist than Dr. Shieh and he truly isn't just a dentist but he also overpasses all others and he without any question is America's Top Doc.

I am a 49 year old woman with many dental problems. One of my major dental problems was my 4 front veneers that I had since I was 19. (It actually started out as a bridge then got changed to veneers) When I used to chew, my bottom teeth kept hitting the top teeth causing pain I also had significant gingivitis problems because of poor fit. For those 2 reasons, I had to have my front veneers redone 3 times before I started seeing Dr. Shieh more than 5 years ago. All the other dentists that I saw before kept grinding down my teeth and cutting away at my gum to change the veneers. My teeth got smaller and smaller and my gum receeded but the problem never went away. Five years ago, I went to see Dr. Shieh because of extreme pain on my front tooth (the tooth actually died shortly after due to chronic trauma). Dr. Shieh studied my bite and my chewing and did more than just replacing the veneers. He solved my chronic occlusal problem. Now my bottom teeth never hit my top teeth when I chew. Not to mention, I have the most natural looking veneers ever. Most people cannot tell I have veneers. I used to be very self-conscious about my front veneers and was very reluctant to smile. Now, I smile all the time. My other major dental problem was my chewing problem which cause my back molars and bottom teeth to wear out to the point that I don't have much teeth left (in terms of height of the teeth). Also, there was so much impact at my back teeth I couldn't chew on one side where I already had 3 root canals done. And my jaws looked lopsided. Dr. Shieh figured out that my problem was caused by my worn out canine guide. Instead of grinding my teeth further (which would not have solved the problem and would have made things worse), he actually re-established my canine guide, which properly stopped the chewing motion so the back molars will not have so much impact. Well, I am happy to say that now I have no problems chewing on both sides and my jaws no longer look lopsided. Dr. Shieh approaches a dental problem from a very scientific and not just a cosmetic point of view. He is very thorough, careful, skilled, patient, and professional. He is not satisfied with just fixing the problem on the surface, but takes his time to find out the cause of the problem and truly correct the problem. None of the dentists that I have dealt with over the past 30 years had taken the kind of time that Dr. Shieh did with my dental problem. All at no extra charge. Frankly, I don't think they had the knowledge to actually fix my problem either. In my opinion, Dr. Shieh is not just one of the America's top dentists. He is the top dentist.
